THIS unusual Maurice Workstel novelty uses an explanation of the process by which a song is published as an excuse to sing the 1927 number “I’m Back in Love Again.” The set alternates between cartoon-style and photographic slides, and it introduces real celebrities from the music business. These are eighteen of the original thirty-three slides. Complete set in the author’s collection.

THESE four slides belong to the sixteen-slide illustrated song set designed to accompany the 1913 song “Stick to Your Mother Mary.” These slides were staged, photographed, and hand-colored by the New York firm of Scott & Van Altena—without question the finest producers of illustrated song slides.
